Toxic fumes coming from large fire at Dundalk premises

It’s understood that the premises is a towing company and a large number of cars were at the scene of the blaze.

EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE dealing with a large fire at a premises just outside Dundalk, Co Louth.

Gardaí were alerted to the fire at Haggardstown at around 7.20 this evening.

Emergency services are at the scene and three fire engines are dealing with the blaze.

It’s understood that a towing company uses the premises and a large number of cars were at the scene of the blaze.

No injuries have been reported but residents and motorists in the area have been warned to keep windows closed due to toxic fumes emitting from the fire.

The roads surrounding the compound have been closed and diversions are in place.
