Traffic and Luas disruptions after fire closes Dublin’s Harcourt Street

Motorists are advised to avoid the area after a fire broke out in a building towards the top end of the the Dublin street.

DUBLIN’S HARCOURT STREET is closed to traffic in both directions following a fire this afternoon.

All traffic is being diverted up Hatch Street in the city centre, AA Roadwatch advises. The Luas line that runs down the street is only operating between Beechwood and Brides Glen.

Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade are on the scene dealing with the fire in a building towards the upper end of Harcourt Street, near the junction with Hatch Street.

Gardaí have urged motorists to avoid the area if possible.
