Two men (20s) in hospital following serious single-car collision in Co Galway

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or footage of the incident to make it available.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision in Co Galway early this morning, which left two men hopitalised, one in serious condition.

The incident occurred between 1.30AM and 2.30AM this morning on the R360 at Ballintava, near the town of Dunmore.

The driver and passenger, both in their 20s, were taken to University Hopital Galway for treatment. The driver is being treated for serious injuries, while the passenger’s injuries have been described as “not life threatening”.

The road is currently closed for technical examinations, and local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing. They are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Additionally, they are requesting those with camera footage, including motorists with dashcam, who were travelling in the area of Ballintava, Dunmore, Co. Galway on Friday 18th October between 1.30am and 2.30am, to make it available.
