Train and Dart services affected by fire

The Drogheda, Belfast and Maynooth train lines were affected.

TRAIN AND DART services have been affected by a fire adjacent to the line.

The services affected this morning included the Drogheda, Belfast and Maynooth train lines.

Irish Rail said all services have now resumed but delays are expected.

The Maynooth line services were temporarily operating via alternative line to/from Connolly and were not serving Drumcondra as a result.

Earlier emergency services attended the scene where a vehicle on fire on the M4 Dublin to Sligo Road.

According to AA Roadwatch the car was located just after the J9 Enfield exit before the toll bridge.

The vehicle has since been cleared.

In other traffic news, an earlier crash on the N7 Naas Road before the Newlands Cross flyover has been cleared. There were no injuries.

A traffic collision in Meath on the northbound road between J7 Julianstown and the J8 Duleek was also causing delays.

In Tipperary, Church Street in Templemore was blocked due to an overturned truck. Emergency services attended the scene.

There were also reports that heavy traffic on the M50 was causing delays this morning, however no incidents were reported.
