Gardaí out in force for Christmas enforcement campaign

Christmas trees and presents – gardaí have all sorts of advice at this time of the year.

DRINK DRIVING CHECKS, Christmas enforcement campaign and advising on transporting Christmas trees – gardaí are extremely busy in the run up to Christmas.

Eight motorists were stopped for driving while using a mobile as part of the Christmas enforcement campaign yesterday morning.

Officers were also out in force last night, testing motorists for drink driving. Over 100 drivers were tested by Pearse St Traffic Unit.

Meanwhile, people are also being urged to be careful while doing Christmas shopping and to hide any presents that are stored in their car.

In other Christmas related advice – gardaí are also calling on people to transport Christmas trees safely.
