    I spent over an hour yesterday being passed from one person to another trying to sort out why I can’t see my bill on line. They’re insisting I pay a bill that I can’t find on line. The person on the end of the phone eventually locked me totally out of my account. She rang back to say that they hope to have someone get back to me in 5 – 10 working days. This company is driving me crazy since I moved to them.

    @bings:
    I said good riddance to them years ago.
    Any apology in writing from Vodafone should be framed in gold leaf and hung in the Mansion House.

    @bings: Same happened to me, wanted to cancel bill pay at end of contract, took 4 attempts with different reps, I was asked to pay a final amount, but on billpay and aib ,both attempts were blocked ,telling me that my phone number was not a valid Vodafone number. Glad to be rid if them.

    @RJ.Fallon:
    Similar. They point blank refused to let me out of contract when it was up. I had to take a case via ComReg and won. In the end I received the most pathetic and insincere effort at a letter of apology from the snotty little upstart I was dealing with. Never again.

    @bings: left them back in 2012 after being a loyal customer since Eircel in 1998. I got fed up with crappy data and treating their pay as you go customers like crap. Took nearly a month for them to release my number, totally unprofessional

    Having a lot of issues with network coverage here in north Cork lately. The 4g was excellent but with the last month its shocking and varies in speed from 3 to 40 in the space of an hour. Also, id love to know was it a 5 year old child redesigned the Vodafone app? Its rubbish and has less features than the old one.

    The last time that Vodafone were down for the day, it was only a day, and I thought, these things happen. So I let the dust settle and then rang them and asked for a refund for that day. They refunded it. I wasn’t paying for a day without service.

    At what point should they lose their license. At least fines should be put in place.

    @Ed: what? For a blip in service?? Why don’t you build your own mobile network and see who easy it is to supply 100% perfect reception 24/7. Grow up you snowflake.

    @Peter Cavey: Yes, of course it happens occasionally. But you are talking about a loss of national coverage. For people who rely on it daily. They haven’t even offered to credit customers for the break in service.

    It seems all networks are gone down hill lately. I’m with 3 and coverage the last few weeks has been shocking. My girlfriend is with meatier and she has had the same issues. Not much point switching network if they are all as bad as each other.

    Vodafone has got progressively worse over the past 2 years, places I used to get 4G in I can’t anymore, unable to use apps like maps anymore because the bandwidth has gone to hell. I find their customer service has drastically declined also and will certainly be switching providers after decades with Vodafone

    It does appear that technically ,quality & reliability of service is not good right across the broadband business, & yet Irish consumers are being charged much higher terms than in UK, by the same multinationals.
    The regulator needs the power to impose automatic fines & automatic customer credits for all service failures. Customers should not have to apply.
    Extraordinary that their billing systems are super efficient, especially with extra sneaky small print items, yet the services are not reliable.
    Have just discovered that inward Calls to Three frequently default to voice messages without ringing, & they charge extra for accessing them, plus they block the disable facility for voice mail. That looks like sharp practice.

    Last Sunday week I could not get any broadband and decided to ring I left it ring for 45 min before somebody answered me no apology until I roasted him for the long wait. I left Eircom many years ago because of the way they treated there customers it looks like I will be doing the same with Vodafone
