Six rescued after chair-o-plane in Tramore breaks down

No one has been injured in the incident.

EMERGENCY SERVICES ATTENDED a scene in Tramore this evening where a group of people were stuck mid-air on an amusement ride.

The “chair-o-plane” ride was stuck for over an hour with six people stuck on the ride.

The ride is a new machine at the amusement park in Tramore. The ride shoots people in the air and also spins around.

The gardaí confirmed that a “mechanical failure” stopped the ride.

The gardaí, the fire bridade and the Health and Safety Authority all attended the scene this evening.

A tiller ladder was used to rescue the people. The crowd below applauded as the people were brought back to safety this evening.
