Tree falls and blocks main road artery

A MAJOR INCIDENT has occurred just south of Dublin city centre in which a tree has fallen at the junction of Baggot Street and Waterloo Road.

While the gardai can not yet confirm whether a person was injured when the tree came down in high winds, Waterloo Road has been completely closed off.

Meanwhile, traffic on D’Olier Street has been reduced to one lane after an object fell from a building there, according to the Garda traffic division.
