Pixies, Bell X1 and alt-J set for series of outdoor summer gigs at Trinity College

The gigs will run from 6 – 11 July.

GREGORY PORTER, JAMES Vincent McMorrow and Pixies are among the bands set to perform at a series of outdoor gigs at Trinity College Dublin this summer.

MCD has just announced the special series of outdoor gigs at College Park in the grounds of Trinity College.

The gigs – which will run from 6 – 11 July – will kick off with jazz crooner Gregory Porter on Thursday 6 July, moving on to Irish musician James Vincent McMorrow the second night, Friday 7 July.

Bell X1, who recently released a new album, Arms, will play on Saturday 8 July.

Pixies – who have played multiple gigs in Ireland – will play on Sunday 9 July, followed the next night by Northern Irish young indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club.

Mercury Music Prize winners alt-J will finish the series off with their gig on Tuesday 11 July.

Tickets for Gregory Porter, James Vincent McMorrow, Bell X1 and Two Door Cinema Club are €44.05 plus booking fee, while tickets for Pixies and alt-J are priced at €54.65 plus booking fee. Tickets for all the shows go on sale this Friday (10 February) at 9am.

Now all we have to do is pray to the weather Gods for lots of sunshine that week…
