Teenager appears before court over Tuam assault

A 22-year-old man was seriously injured when a rock was thrown at his head in the incident.

A TEENAGER ARRESTED over a serious assault in Galway has appeared before a court charged in connection with the attack.

The teenager was arrested after a rock was thrown at a 22-year-old man on the Milltown Road in Tuam in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The victim remains in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he is being treated for serious head injuries. His condition is believed to be critical.

The man in his late teens appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court at 9.30am today.
