Man (20s) killed when his car hit a wall in Galway

Gardai in Tuam are investigating the incident at Airglooney on the Balgaddy Road at around 1.20am in the early hours of this morning.

A MAN WAS killed in a single vehicle crash in Galway in the early hours of this morning.

Gardai in Tuam are investigating the incident at Airglooney on the Balgaddy Road at around 1.20am  in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his 20’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was the sole occupant of the car.

This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision and in particular anyone that may have travelled this stretch of road between 1am and 1.30am, to contact Tuam Garda Station on 093-70840, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
