This week, Amy Callaghan (@twinningwithamy) chatted us through a candid photo of her twin girls, Ayda Rose and Bonnie Jane.
The girls were about three months old here and were really beginning to notice everything around them, especially their little hands. One evening, we were lying up on my bed and they both just started to play with each other’s hands, laughing and looking at each other. It was really special.
What you don’t see is me, still in my pyjamas. Not out of laziness, but because the girls were having a particularly fussy day and I genuinely didn’t have time to change. Looking back now, they had probably started teething and I, being a first time mother, didn’t realise that’s why they were being so fussy and out of sorts!
This one was pretty natural due to the fact they were just playing with their hands. Sometimes Bonnie would look away or Ayda would have her hand in her mouth, so the moment they were both looking up, I would just snap a few in succession and see if any turned out nice. Some days they absolutely hate it and I don’t even bother trying. Generally, though, they absolutely love the camera and smile all day long! Maybe it’s because I’m behind it making the most ridiculous faces!
