TWIN INFANTS BORN just as New Year’s Champagne corks were popping share the same parents, but different birth years.
Maribel Valencia, of San Diego, California made it to a local hospital on Thursday just in time to give birth to a baby girl — Jaelyn — in the final seconds of 2015.
Jaelyn’s brother Luis was born about two minutes into 2016, NBC reports.
“We were actually watching the clock,” the pleased father — also named Luis — told the local NBC television station.
“We wanted to see if we were one of the first ones” born in the new year.
Both infants, who had not been expected to arrive until later this month, and their mother were reported to be doing well.
“It’s very unusual and it’s very special,” nurse Lynnette Coetzee told NBC, “and I haven’t seen it in all my 34 years of nursing.”
I think she’s the little girl; she’s gonna be pulling rank the whole time because she’s gonna be the older one. He’s gonna have a hard time living that down.

Twins can be born in different millenniums, never mind centuries, and yet it’s only a matter of seconds. Best of luck to the babies.

Also, it’s possible for one twin to be born premature while the other stays full term meaning that there can act silly be months between their birthdays
I often wonder what it would be like to have a twin. Sounds like a cool buzz.
Identical twins would be fun alright. “Can you go and dump Mary for me I couldn’t be arsed”
Could you imagine the messing you could get up to. On a side note, remember the time one of the Jedwards broke his leg on stage and tried to keep on dancing. Some determination.

Years ago they’d say “break a leg” before you took to the stage.
I actually saw that on TV when he was hopping around the stage. Similar to when James Hetfield got burned by those stage fireworks. What performers eh?

I have 8 week old twins….its not a cool buzz! Been off work 10 weeks now and starting back on Monday. Cannot wait lol.
