Twitter’s not bowled over by Enda’s Valentine initiative

LAST NIGHT, Fine Gael launched its latest salvo on the unwitting electorate – an animated Valentine’s Day e-card that you can send free of charge to your loved one. (That’s if you think lines like “It’s the economy, Cupid” and “All you need is Gov” are liable to secure their affections forevermore.)

Unfortunately, the initiative’s charms were mostly lost on Twitter commentators last night, with some even wondering whether Fine Gael was running a dirty tricks campaign against itself.
