Two arrested after body found in Laois

The body of a 26-year-old man was found yesterday evening.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two men after the body of a 26-year-old man was found at a house in Laois.

The find was made at around 5pm yesterday evening at a house on Spa Street in Portarlington.

The scene was been preserved for a technical examination and the body has been removed from the scene.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

A man in his early 30s and one in his mid-40s were arrested in connection with the investigation and they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Portlaoise Garda Station.
