Two arrested after man found dead

The man was taken to hospital with head injuries but was pronounced dead.

PSNI OFFICERS IN Coleraine are appealing for information after a man was found dead in the town.

Detectives are describing the incident as a “sudden death” after a 46 year old man found outside a residential property in the Strand Road area at around 3:50am this morning.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for head injuries, but was pronounced dead.

Two people have been arrested and are helping police with their enquiries while the facts are being established.

Police are appealing to anyone with any information or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Strand Road of Coleraine during the early hours of this morning to get in touch with them on 0845 600 8000.
