Two arrested in Limerick over revolver discovery

Gardaí found the firearm while searching a car in Ballincurra Weston yesterday.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in Limerick after gardaí recovered a firearm from a car.

The car was stopped at Ballincurra Weston, Limerick by gardaí attached to a Regional Response Unit at around 4pm yesterday.

Gardaí searched the car and discovered a revolver.

Two men, aged 44 and 45, were arrested in connection with the discovery and are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Henry Street and Roxboro Road stations.
