A MAN AND a woman have been arrested after a 40-year-old man was assaulted and seriously injured at an apartment in Tallaght last night.
Gardaí say that the man was seriously assaulted at an apartment in Uppercross Court on Old Blessington Road in Tallaght at around 8pm last night.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious head injuries and the scene has been preserved for technical examination.
A man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Tallaght Garda station.
