Two charged over cannabis seizure in Donegal

TWO MEN ARE due to appear before a special court sitting later tonight in connection with a drug seizure in Donegal yesterday.

The two men will appear before a special sitting of Sligo District Court charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €1.6 million yesterday.

The two thousand plants were seized at a warehouse in Trummon, Laghey in Co Donegal by local gardaí and the Garda National Drug Unit who described it as “an elaborate growing operation”.

The two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, were being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station following their arrest.
