Two in court over garda camera van attack near Arklow

Van was seriously damaged after being set alight as it was parked on the old N11 in March.

TWO YOUNG MEN charged over an arson attack on a garda ‘GoSafe’ camera van in March are due to appear before New Ross District Court this morning.

The teenagers were arrested yesterday in Gorey, Co Wexford, when gardaí carried out a number of searches in the area.

A third, younger, male who was also arrested yesterday has been released without charge.

No one was injured when the van was extensively damaged by fire in March. It was sitting on the old N11 about 1km south of Arklow at the time.
