Two men arrested after man stabbed in head and hands in Derry

Detectives are appealing for anybody with information about the stabbing to come forward.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after a man was stabbed in Limavady in the early hours of this morning.

At around 1:20am at the Coolessan Walk area, a 30-year-old was stabbed in the head and hands during an assault.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and his condition is now described as stable.

Two men aged 23 and 28 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both men are currently helping police with their enquiries.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Limavady on 0845 600 8000.

The public can also give information anonymously by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
