Two men arrested over Charleville robbery

An undisclosed sum of money was stolen during a raid in Charleville yesterday evening.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with the robbery of a premises in Charleville, Co Cork yesterday evening.

The premises in Ballyhea was robbed at around 8.45pm by two men who threatened staff. They left the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.

Gardaí later stopped a car in Buttevant and arrested the two occupants. They also recovered a quantity of cash.

Both men are being detained at Mallow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí are still investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have any information about it to contact them on 063 21770 or via any garda station or the Garda Confidential Line (1800 666 111).
