Two men arrested over Thurles drugs seizure

Gardaí seized cannabis resin and cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000.

GARDAÍ IN TIPPERARY arrested two men and seized cannabis resin and cocaine with a combined estimated street value of €100,000.

Gardaí from Thurles and the drugs unit attempted to stop a car at Pouldine, Thurles at around 2pm, but the vehicle initially failed to stop.

It was stopped a short time later on the Cork/Dublin motorway flyover and a 45-year-old man who was in the car was arrested. A second man, 31, was pursued on foot and arrested.

The cannabis resin and cocaine were seized during the operation.

Both men are being held at Thurles Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
