Two men charged in connection with discovery of body in Kerry

It is understood the body is that of missing Brazilian man Bruno Limes de Souza Silva.

GARDAÍ IN KERRY have charged two men in connection with the discovery of a man’s body in Listowel on Sunday.

The 19-year-old and 28-year-old will appear before a sitting of Newcastle West District Court tomorrow morning.

The body was found at a bog in Ballylongford yesterday morning as Gardaí carried out a planned search. It is understood the operation was part of an investigation into the whereabouts of a Brazilian man who has been missing from Gort in Galway for a number of weeks.

Dr Margaret Bolster from the State Pathologist’s Office carried out a postmortem examination on the remains earlier today. A number of scenes were also examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.
