Two men die in Meath crash

Two men in their early twenties have died after a single vehichle accident in Dunshaughlin in the early hours of this morning.

TWO MEN IN their early twenties have died following a car crash in County Meath this morning.

The two men, aged 21 and 20, received fatal injuries when the car in which they were travelling collided with a tree.

The incident happened at about 2.05am on the Ratoath to Dunshaughlin Road, about three miles outside Dunshaughlin.

The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to Navan Hospital. There was no one else in the car at the time of the collision.

The road is now closed for forensic examinations and Gardaí have advised that diversions are in place.

Witnesses to the accident have been asked to contact Dunshaughlin Garda station on 01-8258600 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
