Two men injured in Tallaght shooting

Men escaped from the scene and drove themselves to hospital after being shot.

GARDAÍ HAVE LAUNCHED an investigation into a shooting incident in Tallaght, Dublin, last night in which two men were injured.

The men, both in their late 30s, were shot while in a car at around 8pm last night, RTÉ reports.

A man is understood to have come out of a house at Fernwood Avenue, with a gun when the men pulled up in a car outside.

He fired several shots into the car, but the men escaped by driving themselves from the scene to hospital.

A forensic examination of the scene is taking place this morning and gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact them. The Garda confidential line is 1800-666-111.
