Two men released in connection with death of Darren Guerrine

Guerrine was found shot dead on the bank of the Grand Canal in west Dublin just a few yards from his home on 18 February 2008.

GARDAÍ HAVE RELEASED two men arrested in connection with the death of 21-year-old Darren Guerrine.

The men one in his mid-thirties, the other in his late twenties were arrested yesterday and were being held in Kilmainham and Kevin Street Garda Stations.

A file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Guerrine, 21, was found dead on the bank of the Grand Canal between the Kylemore Road and the Naas Road in west Dublin just a few yards from his home on the morning of 18 February 2008.

A post mortem later showed that he was shot dead at point blank range in the incident.
