Two people airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following collision in Co Kerry

The collision happened yesterday afternoon at around 3.15pm on the N70 at Tullig Beg, Killorglin.

TWO PEOPLE WERE airlifted to hospital yesterday following a serious road traffic collision in Co Kerry.

The collision happened yesterday afternoon at around 3.15pm on the N70 at Tullig Beg, Killorglin, and involved a van and an SUV.

The drivers of both vehicles, a woman in her 50s and a man in his 30s, were airlifted from the scene to Cork University Hospital and their injuries are described as serious.

The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision investigators, and the road has since fully reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact them.

Those with video footage, including dashcam, from the area at the time are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
