Two teenagers killed in Kildare road accident

A 19-year-old driver and his 18-year-old female passenger were fatally injured in the two-car collision.

TWO TEENAGERS HAVE been killed in a two-car collision near Kilcullen, Co Kildare.

A 19-year-old man and a woman aged 18 were fatally injured in the smash, which took place just before 3pm yesterday on the Naas to Kilcullen road. The man was driving one of the cars, while the woman was his passenger.

Two women travelling in the second car were also taken to Naas General Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Both are believed to be in their 30s.

The road at the scene of the crash was closed while gardaí examined the area.

Gardaí have appealed for anybody who was travelling on the road between 2.30pm and 3pm yesterday to contact Naas garda station on 045 884300.
