From a mix of old and new in Kildare to a surprise extension in Cork, check out these four unique homes.

STRIKING HOMES THAT ooze fun and character before you even set foot through the front door are on our radar this week.

From a circular mix of old and new in Kildare to a surprise extension in Cork, take your pick from these four unique homes.

Douglas, Co Cork – €625,000

Arriving at the front door of No. 3 The Fairways, the exterior simply looks like a large detached dormer style home, yet an extension to the side and back of the house has added considerable space and a unique look. The home is 232 m² in size and has five bedrooms with the main bedroom enjoying high ceilings, an en suite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe.

On the ground floor there are two sitting rooms, a dining room with a mini bar and then a kitchen with sliding doors to the back patio and deck. There’s also a relaxation area off the kitchen and two of the bedrooms are downstairs. Its location on Maryborough Hill means that you have a bus route and plenty of amenities nearby.
