US drivers trapped in Indiana snow

Over 100 drivers rescued after snowstorm trapped them in their vehicles.

OVER 100 MOTORISTS WERE rescued from their vehicles in Indiana, US, after heavy snowstorms at the weekend.

Some of the drivers had been stuck in their cars for over 12 hours, according to the PA.

At least 15 people have died in four states during the extreme storm which has been moving across the US since Friday, dropping about 2 feet of snow over Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York as it travels eastwards.

The weekend’s snowstorm closed major highways in several states, the AP reports. Over 1,600 flights were cancelled in Chicago.

Hundreds of football fans turned out for a football game last Monday night between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants. After the game was moved to Detroit, the inflated roof of the original venue collapsed on Sunday due to the heavy snowfall.
