SOMETIMES YOU JUST need a car that’s a bit more rugged and a bit more capable than the others. Perhaps you need more ground clearance or all-wheel drive or just some extra cladding to help protect the car from the rough terrain.

So, if you need a rough and tough off-roader to get you off the tarmac and back on again, here are five vehicles with decent off-road capabilities.
