54-year-old man dies in Valentine's Day house fire in Kerry

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze just after half six last night.

A MAN HAS died in a house fire in county Kerry.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire just after 6.30pm last night at a house in Lackbrooder, Knocknagoshel.

The 54-year-old was fatally injured in the blaze.

His body was taken to Kerry General Hospital, where a post mortem is to be arranged.

The scene has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
