Darling buds: 6 flower vases to brighten your home with instant spring colour

Bring spring in with natural wood and quirky ceramics.

WITH WINTER WELL and truly behind us, filling our homes with flowers can be a great way to welcome spring.

Arranging blooms and buds injects colour into a home, in a simple way that doesn’t cost the earth. It can also be easily switched up and rearranged to create a new vibe.

This week, we’ve found six interesting vases that will complement flowers and keep things interesting throughout the whole season and well into summer.

Jug on: We love supporting Irish-made crafts and this jug from @arranstreeteast is the ideal multi-tasking vessel for beautiful flowers. It would make a great centrepiece for a spring table setting.

Milking it: @rebeccakillenceramics_ bottles that spring feeling with her contemporary take on a traditional vessel. Each one is adorned with blue, intricately painted flowers, and the differing heights work very well when displayed together.

Find Rebecca’s bottle vases at Irish Design Shop.

Go green: @marksandspencerhomepr keeps things connected with nature with a range of vases that embrace green tones and curved shapes; a nod to handmade crafts and an easy spring update that’s available from the high street.

Browse Marks & Spencer for these exact vases.

Hands up: If you find subtle single stems, instead of large bunches of flowers, easier to maintain then take a look at these @doiydesign Girl Power vases that show a little solidarity in a quirky way.

Wooden wonder: @colinharrisfurniture hand planes wild Irish ash to create these designs that each embrace their own unique characteristics, so no single vase is the same.

Visit Colin Harris’ website for these exact vases.

Capital work: We love these Brookwood Pottery Ringsend vases that are the perfect vessels for @laineydoolin’s blooms. Ideal for Dublin dwellers or people missing the capital and the iconic Poolbeg Stacks.

Find these Brookwood Pottery vases online.
