DETECTIVES IN LONDON are hunting for a wolf.

However, the animal isn’t so much prowling the streets of the English capital as much as it is missing in action.

Thieves made off with the stuffed Arctic wolf worth £32,000 (€45,000) after being brought back to a flat in the Chelsea area.

The woman who owns the wolf had been out with a friend in Soho returning home at about 4am on Monday 3 August. Both girls came back to the flat in Chelsea with three men they had met earlier in the evening.

The three men left at around 5am. Later in the morning, the woman discovered her stuffed Arctic wolf was missing.

The wolf is about 6ft long and 3ft high and was bought six years ago from a taxidermy shop. It has an open ‘snarling’ mouth and yellow glass eyes.

All three suspects are white men believed to be aged in their early 20s.

Detective Sergeant Sean Lyons, said: “This is a unique item and I am appealing to anyone who may know the three suspects or have information about the stolen Arctic wolf to contact police.”
