Video: Aung San Suu Kyi making speech in Dublin

See the video from within Bord Gáis Energy Theatre where she paid tribute to Ireland’s highlighting of her case.

THE BURMESE DEMOCRACY figure Aung San Suu Kyi made a touching tribute last night to the dedication of Irish people and Amnesty International in highlighting her struggle and that of the Burmese people over a number of decades.

While thousands packed into Grand Canal Plaza last night to witness Daw Aung receive the Freedom of Dublin, there was an earlier paid-in event in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre a little earlier. If you weren’t there, this video shows her making her speech from 0:55. Powerful.
