JUST A ROUTINE public safety warning: if you find yourself stopping at one of Ireland’s coasts today to admire the choppy waves, stay in your car and roll up your window.

This video was shot at Kilkee in Co Clare on Sunday, and shows how the height of the waves can increase pretty dramatically – leading to wet, and funny, but mostly wet results.

We hope the photographer at 0:48 made it away safely.
