IT’S NOT really all about the fear of the number 13.

The Society of the Irish Motor Industry has produced this video to explain the rationale behind its (successful) calls to change car registration plates from this month onward.

The video argues that the move is actually an attempt to spread the sale of new cars more equally throughout the year – which in turn will have other effects like getting rid of backlogs for NCTs.
