Video: Piglet adopted by dog in Spain

A dog in Spain welcomes an unexpected addition to her litter…

IN A LUCKY – and unlikely – turn of events a Spanish piglet has been spared the butcher’s knife and been adopted by a dog.

The piglet was marked to be sold for Christmas dinner, however a butcher in Caceres, in Spain’s Extramadura region, rejected it because it was too small, the BBC reports.

The fortunate pig was returned to the farmer and is now being looked after by the family Dog, Diana, who has welcomed it as part of her litter.
