Video: Planes collide on ground at JFK Airport

Investigation underway after a jumbo jet clipped a smaller aircraft while taxiiing on the runway at JFK Airport in New York.

NO INJURIES HAVE BEEN reported following a collision between two planes on the ground at JFK International Airport in New York last night.

A large Air France A380 jet bumped into a smaller Comair plane while taxiing on the runway, lifting the lighter aircraft and spinning it around 90 degrees, according to ABC News.

The Air France plane was preparing to take off for Paris, while the second plane had just landed from Boston. The A380 is one of the largest commercial planes.

Both planes were damaged and the Chicago Tribune reports that investigators are trying to determine why the pilots were not aware of their proximity to one another.
