Are you with Vodafone? Some customers have been charged their monthly bill twice

The company said that affected customers will be refunded over the next few days.

VODAFONE HAS CHARGED some of its customers twice due to a “processing error”.

A spokesperson for the company told TheJournal.ie that bill payment were duplicated and debited twice.

They added that customers who are affected will be refunded over the next few days. In a statement the company said:

We are aware of an issue with duplicate credit and debit card payments for some customers caused by a processing error.
“Customers will be fully refunded over the next few days. All impacted customers will also receive an SMS with confirmation of their refund. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

When asked how many customers were affected, the company said less than 4% of its billpay customers were impacted.

Vodafone provides services across mobile, broadband and TV to 2.4 million customers.
