Volkswagen has added a cheaper diesel to its Tiguan SUV range

You can now have a 115hp 2.0 TDI Tiguan from €29,985.

THE NEW VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan line-up has been bolstered by the introduction of a more affordable 2.0-litre TDI version, priced at €30,985.

It features a 115hp version of the turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine and is likely to prove the most popular model choice in the Tiguan range for buyers in Ireland.

For those looking to purchase under a PCP finance deal, Volkswagen is offering an additional €1,000 deposit contribution if ordered before the end of the year, bringing the price down to €29,985.

In addition to this new engine, Volkswagen is introducing 171 Premium Upgrade Packs for the Tiguan. On Comfortline specification, for example, you can add the Mirror Package, Keyless Access, Discover Media Satellite Navigation, Voice Control and App Connect, and Panoramic Sunroof for €999. This would normally cost €3,189, so you save €2,190.

The Tiguan Comfortline and Highline trim levels also come with a discounted APR rate of 3.9 per cent on PCP, which Volkswagen Ireland claims equates to a saving of €2,000. Those keen to improve the look of a Tiguan with the R-Line styling pack can now do so for half the cost at €1,430.

Commenting on the introduction of the new model, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Ireland Brand Director, Gerrit Heimberg, said:

The Tiguan, we feel, is the most premium offering in the segment and now customers can get into the Tiguan with even greater added value.

When you add up all of the potential savings through added value and our finance offers, you can save up to €5,900 on a new Tiguan Comfortline in time for the busy 171 plate, and that is a significant saving on a premium SUV. Plus, for PCP orders placed before December 31, customers can benefit from an additional €1,000 Deposit Contribution.
