The Volvo XC90 stands out from the crowd thanks to its striking good looks and sumptuous interior. It is a spacious seven-seat family car with an excellent safety record. In fact, in 2015 the XC90 was named the best performing large off-roader, and the car with the best overall performance that year in the EuroNCAP safety tests.
Any standout design features?
The Volvo XC90 looks stunning in the metal thanks to some delightful details like those ‘Thor hammer’ LED daytime running lights at the front and the S-shaped upright lamp clusters at the rear.
These, combined with the curvy body and clean lines, create a car that looks properly premium and expensive. Those alloy wheels also fill the wheel arches beautifully, something that really adds to the visual appeal of the car.

Does the Volvo XC90 have any luxurious touches?
The cabin of the XC90 is gorgeous. It is so different from other cars on the market. It feels sumptuous and looks luxurious and has some wonderful design flourishes.
It features a beautiful nine-inch tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system along with steering wheel controls and voice-control system. This Sensus interface is one of the slickest and nicest that I have ever used and it is very intuitive and quick too.
But who would drive this car?
Someone with a large family or that regularly needs seven seats. Someone who wants to stand out from the crowd and move away from the German manufacturers. This car is also perfect from someone who wants one of the safest cars on the road.
