Man shot in the leg in Walkinstown overnight

The man was taken to St. James’s Hospital and his injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

A MAN HAS been injured in a shooting that took place overnight in the Walkinstown area of Dublin.

Gardaí said that a 21-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his upper leg in the early hours of the morning at approximately 5.10am in Slieve Bloom Park.

The man was taken to St. James’s Hospital and his injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí have sealed of the area for a forensic investigation and appeal to anyone with information relating to the incident to come forward.
