This January, UCD Smurfit School has partnered with TheJournal.ie to offer one reader a full scholarship for the two-year Modular Executive MBA programme, worth more than €30,000. 

The Virtual MBA Open Event, on Saturday, 30 January from 9.30am is the perfect way to find out more about what’s on offer as part of the globally-ranked Smurfit MBA. UCD Smurfit School is the only Irish institute to feature in the Financial Times’ leaderboard of the world’s top-100 MBA programmes.

Attendees can get a feel for the programme with an MBA taster lecture; participate in an MBA Thought Leadership panel discussion; and hear both course leaders and alumni share their experience and expertise. Speakers include:

  • Professor Cal Muckley, Academic Director of Smurfit MBA Programmes, delivering a lecture on Data Analytics 
  • Professor Niamh Brennan, Academic Director of the UCD Centre for Corporate Governance and Panel Chair
  • Niamh Gallagher, Head of Public Policy at Amazon Web Services, EMBA 2014
  • Sharon Cunningham, CEO and Co-Founder at Shorla Pharma, EMBA 2015
  • John Fitzsimons, Managing DIrector Fifth Story, EMBA 2004
  • Jim Gannon, Commissioner at Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU), EMBA 2014

“This event is a unique opportunity for future leaders to get a genuine feel for our MBA programmes,” says Sophie Carey, Senior Manager Smurfit MBA Programmes. “Attendees will virtually meet some of the people who’ll underpin their educational journeys, as well as those who have completed the programme in recent years. There will be a lot of experience and insight to share.”
