ANOTHER WOMAN’S BODY has been discovered on board the Costa Concordia today by divers searching underwater areas of the ship.
The discovery bring the confirmed death toll from the shipwreck to 13 amid fears the number of missing could be higher than originally thought.
Al-Jazeera reports that the body was found by divers in a submerged portion of the ship. The woman was wearing a lifejacket.
Meanwhile, Italian police have released this incredible video of divers exploring the rooms and corridors of the stricken ship as they search for survivors:

This woman deserves the highest civilian honour.
She is some woman for one one woman. Her courage, strength and resilience is remarkable. She is beyond amazing in a situation that was avoidable. She is an inspiration to every single person in this country. I hope she has the most wonderful Christmas with her lovely family.

Remember there is a certain health minister retired probably tbe guts of 15 years well before hitting 65 the normal retirement age ,On full TD/Minister pension Who decided to out source the testing.
@Dave Byrne: outsourcing wasn’t the issue, its lack of oversight and accountablity of the testing. Contracts like this are outsourced all the time.

Vicky Phelan is a victim of incompetence and greed.
@feargal de cantuin: And unfortunately she is not the only one. Others have gone before her and others will go after her. Its horrendous that this happened in the 1st place. I can only hope the legacy these amazing, brave women leave behind is that something like this never happens again. Though it’s very hard to be confident it won’t.
Just my personal preference but I think Tommy Tiernan would have injected a lovely balance of Humour and Sensitivity into the interview which reflects Vicky’s personality and probably what she needs.She has a wonderful irreverence about her Ryan Turbrid is as dull as dishwater and every interview appears forced and fake.

Didn’t really follow this story much but happened upon it when I turned on the Late-late. One of the most impressive people I have ever listened to. Heartbreaking story. Her children will soon have to face life without her, but they can take great solace and pride from the wonderful mother and person and campaigner that she is. Extraordinary.
