This amazing timelapse video shows brinewater from sea ice making its way to the depths of the ocean at the Antartic, freezing into a giant column of ice on its way. When the ‘brinicle’ touches the ocean floor, it traps any living thing it touches in a tomb of ice. Frightening stuff if you live on the bottom of the ocean…
