Thousands of people are getting their €100 water conservation grant today

It might be worth checking your bank account if you registered with Irish Water.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE are waking up to find the €100 Water Conservation Grant in their accounts this morning.

The Department of Social Protection have made payments to 156,249 people today.

Those who opted to get the grant via electronic transfer are receiving the cash.

Anybody who registered with Irish Water is eligible for the €100 payment, regardless of whether they’ve paid their bill.

More than a quarter of a million applications have been made for the grant so far, people can apply for the grant until October 8.
