Met Eireann

Put on sun-cream today, even though it'll be cloudy

It may feel cooler than earlier this week, but you still need to wear factor.

THE WARM WEATHER will abate somewhat today, but Met Eireann says that doesn’t mean you should forego the sun-cream.

Met Eireann says that today will be “another mainly dry day”.

The north and northwest coastal areas may stay cloudy and dull with that worst of phrases “occasional drizzle”.

However, some sunny spells will develop elsewhere.

Top temperatures will reach 16 to 21 degrees.

Winds continue light to moderate mostly northerly with onshore sea breezes developing locally in the afternoon or evening.

However, even though it may feel cooler than earlier this week, Met Eireann says the Sunburn Index is high everywhere.

So, at the risk of sounding like your mammy: wear sun-cream.
