Weather set to heat up mid-week

It’s forecast to become bright, warm and sunny this week. Finally.

TEMPERATURES ARE SET to heat up around the country later in the week, after some spells of rain and drizzle today.

Most areas will be dry today, with temperatures of between 12 – 16 C, and with a small chance of scattered showers in some places. Tonight, cloud and drizzle will descend on most areas and temperatures will dip to between 4 – 8 C.

However, temperatures will pick up on Monday again, rising to between 14 – 18 C.

It will be much warmer across the country throughout the next week, according to Met Éireann, with temperatures rising steadily and hitting as high as 20 C by Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the high teens quite widely and in the low twenties in some places on Thursday also.
